The article profiles English author, poet and playwright for children's novels Michael Morpurgo, who discusses his personal background, the influences of children book stories and his inspiration for writing children books. Morpurgo was born in 1943 and grew up in bombed-out London, England and influences by his mother's interest in writing and reading children's stories and poems. It also outlines Morpurgo literary work "War Horse" and "Farm Boy" at the National Theatre.
