- Abstract
This document discusses the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in the diagnosis and management of multiple myeloma (MM), a hematological disease characterized by abnormal plasma cell proliferation in the bone marrow. The article highlights the importance of hybrid positron emission tomography (PET) and computed tomography (CT) with 2-deoxy-2-[18F]-fluoro-D-glucose ([18F]-FDG PET/CT) in the evaluation of MM patients. It also explores the potential of AI and radiomics in providing diagnostic and prognostic information for MM, as well as the use of machine learning models to differentiate bone metastases from MM lesions. The article emphasizes the potential of AI in optimizing medical resources for oncological patients.
