- Abstract
The article discusses a minimally invasive surgical procedure to avoid electrode dislodgement in patients who are undergoing peripheral nerve field stimulation for chronic pain refractory. It states that such procedure is characterized by the application of wire cylindrical multipolar electrodes that are connected to implantable electronic programmable stimulators (IPG). It notes the importance of performing a safe and quick method of fixing the electrode to the initial area through a suture.
