- Abstract
Results are presented for an experimental study of the effect of surface deformation of polymer materials, both as an individual operation, and in combination with subsequent workpiece turning, on operating properties. It is demonstrated by experiment that inclusion of polymer material machining in the production process for a previously burnished workpiece is expedient since there is no reduction in material operating properties, and consequently efficiency and reliability.
