- Abstract
The article reports on research which examined the effects of various meteorological and hydrogeological factors on the gross recharge percentages, the rainfall-recharge relationships and the recharge threshold values for unconfined sandy aquifers under an equatorial climate. Researchers found that among the meteorological factors rainfall intensity had the most significant impact on the gross recharge rate. Additional findings from the research, and theories which were developed during the research, are discussed.
