- Title
Compared With Usual Sodium Intake, Low- and Excessive-Sodium Diets Are Associated With Increased Mortality: A Meta-Analysis.
- Authors
Graudal, Niels; Jürgens, Gesche; Baslund, Bo; Alderman, Michael H.
- Abstract
The article presents the authors views on a meta-analysis and conclusion regarding the association of low sodium intakes and high sodium intakes to health outcomes. They explain that the study is consistent with other studies on the implications between sodium intake and increased mortality and morbidity. However, the authors suggest to consider the quality of the study, the appropriateness of the data, the methodology, and the consistency of conclusions with those of other studies.
