- Abstract
The article focuses on the impact of the introduction of enkephalinase, oral rehydration therapy, a therapeutic approach on acute diarrhea in Great Britain. According to the author, since its introduction, millions of lives have been saved due to diarrhea. Such treatment does not reduce fecal losses but may actually increase after rehydration that leads to the vigorous pursuit of treatment. Enkephalinase inhibitor, a pro drug has been found out to be the cure after oral administration.
