- Abstract
Discusses a reported case of hepatic granulomatous infiltrates (HGI) due to Propionibacterium acnes (PA) in a 31-year-old woman with acute myelogenous leukemia. Isolation of pure PA growth from two different sterile sites; Identification of two identical nucleotide sequences of a PA gene in isolates from both the liver and bone marrow; Evidence that PA caused the HGI in the patient.
