- Title
The challenge of using randomized trials in wound healing.
- Authors
Gottrup, F.; Apelqvist, J.
- Abstract
The article discusses the challenges associated with the use of randomized controlled trials (RCTs) in wound healing researches. It states that using RCT can lead to an underestimation of the required resources in a study as the analysis focuses on fixed items, such as dressings. It says that one percent of the population in industrialized countries suffers from a non-healing wound. It suggests that researchers must address high-quality RCT requirements but should generate relevant evidence.
