- Abstract
The authors reflect on the cancer protocols developed and maintained by the College of American Pathologists (CAP). Topics discussed include standards for accreditation of cancer patients introduced by the Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons in 2004, the three CAP resource committees responsible for creating the protocols, and the seven basic principles that have been defined for trustworthy guidelines.
