- Abstract
The article focuses on gun violence and the firearm fatality rate among children in the U.S. It discusses the role of the laxity of gun laws and attitudes in child gun violence, the existing gun culture in the country and the impact of television (TV) and movies on the public perception of handguns. It mentions proposed changes to firearms rules as well as design to ensure the safety of children which include the broadcast of public education messages and placement of child safety locks.
