- Abstract
The August 2010 issue of "The Journal of Family Practice" which focuses on the optimization of clinical identification and management of patients at risk for anaphylaxis is presented. It notes the definition of anaphylaxis by the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases in the U.S. and the Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Network (FAAN) as an allergic reaction that may cause death. It also discusses the assessment of anaphylaxis in patients with confirmed history.
