- Abstract
An essay is presented which explores the author's experience of being on an airplane which undergoes an emergency landing in the Midwest U.S. The author describes his feelings of guilt about the impact of his possible death on his mother as well as his feelings of rage about the inevitability of death soon after the airplane makes a safe landing.
