- Abstract
A 17-year-old boy with X-linked inhibitor of apoptosis (XIAP) deficiency was referred to our hospital for hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT). Before HSCT, colonoscopy revealed a stricture of the ileocecal valve with an active ulcer (Fig. a), in addition to active multiple ulcers in his large intestine (Fig. b,c). Before hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT), the ileocecal valve (arrow) was mildly stenosed with an active ulcer (a), and there were multiple active ulcers in the transverse colon (b) and sigmoid colon (c).
