- Abstract
The article calls for the practice of the principles on climate mobility beyond refugee law to improve international protection of refugees. Topics discussed are role of refugee law in climate change and disasters, role of human rights law in asylum claim such as in the case Teitiota v. New Zealand, opportunities for migration and livelihood diversification, and challenges to regional approaches to climate mobility such as resilience-building and alignment of dignity and protection with values.
