- Abstract
The article presents information on the dental caries which is the most common and important oral health problem in the case of children and is five time more common than asthma. It informs that the three important factors the development of caries include dental plaque, fermentable carbohydrate from the diet and the susceptibility of the tooth. It further informs that the disease can be prevented by the use of following approaches which include reducing the levels of dental plaques, changing the bacterial contamination of the plaque and changing the concentration of the diet with patterns.
