- Abstract
This paper establishes a mathematical model for blasting based on such three major parameter variables as initial peak impact pressure, effective radius of cracked circle and diameter of blasting-split borehole under non-coupling split conditions for the study on the evolutionary characteristics of damage and destruction to gas-rich coal seam resulting from CO2 phase-transition blasting. On the basis of the mathematical model for blasting and geological and physical parameters of coal seam used in experiment, the paper then sets up a discrete element numerical calculation model, in which numerical values of granular discrete element software PFC2D are employed for simulation. The simulation finally works out that the radius of the destruction zone of coal mass around coal seam bore resulting from blasting disturbance is 2m while the destruction zone is 2 m-3 m in size. The experimental approach for the measurement of the damage and destruction zone of coal mass caused by blasting is proposed based on the principle of tracer gas in the paper, which marks the first time in this field. Field experimental analysis demonstrates consistency among theoretical calculation, numerical simulation and experimental results.
