- Abstract
The article discusses the German National Immune Tolerance Registry and provides an update on its progress in 1997. The registry aims to track the results of immune tolerance therapy for patients with inhibitors to coagulation factors VIII and IX. The study involved 118 patients from 22 treatment centers, with the majority being young children. The results showed that 81% of patients had a full success, 4% had a clinical success with a shortened half-life, and 15% experienced therapy failure. Factors such as maximum inhibitor level, dosage, and interruption of therapy were found to influence the outcome.
