- Title
Failure of Some Bacterial Enzymes to Increase Decalcification and Permeability of Enamel Exposed to Lactic Acid.
- Authors
BRÄNNSTRÖM, M.; JOHNSON, G.; LARJE, O.; SÖDER, P.-Ö.
- Abstract
The article reports on research that examined if certain enzymes produced by oral bacteria influence the decalcification process and the permeability of dental enamel. The researchers believe this would provide important insight on the process of caries formation. Their findings did not indicate that any of the enzymes tested influenced decalcification or permeability of the enamel.
