- Abstract
The article discusses the results from a field trial on ship-based air-sea flux measurements of carbon monoxide (CO) in Aloha, Hawaii through direct eddy correlation with the use of infrared-laser trace gas analyzer. The analyzer uses Integrated-Cavity-Output Spectroscopy (OAICOS) to attain rapid response, low noise, and high selectivity for CO. It reveals that an analysis of flux error sources demonstrates best performance of air-sea CO flux in regions remote from continental pollution.
