- Abstract
The article presents case study of 26-year-old woman presented with a 6-month history of diarrhoea. It mentions increase in small bowel lumen fluid secretion, a mechanism often identified in gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumours; and also mentions specific blood tests of serum gastrin and chromogranin A levels are often elevated in carcinoid disease and may be three times the normal range.
