- Abstract
This article, published in Progress in Community Health Partnerships, explores the experiences and perspectives of community partners involved in a community-academic partnership that implemented COVID-19 testing in two majority Latino communities. The study found that having community partners from another site provided crucial support in developing testing plans, and that strategies utilized existing leadership and activities in the communities. Participants also emphasized the importance of conducting study activities in Spanish to enhance relationships and capacity building. The article recommends that community-academic partnerships prioritize existing community capacity, invest in ongoing leadership development, and engage community partners in the development and implementation of testing, vaccine, and treatment strategies.
