- Abstract
An editorial is presented on the quantifying risk after transvenous lead extraction. Topics include the coattails of the incredible growth in pacemaker and implantable cardioverter‐defibrillator implantation have come a myriad of device and lead complications, the transvenous lead extraction (TLE) has become the gold standard for the management of the complications, and the TLE tools and techniques have improved the safety of the procedure, serious complications including death can occur.
