- Abstract
The article presents a study which highlights effectiveness of early initiation of direct oral anticoagulants (DOAC) in the acute phase of non-valvular atrial fibrillation (NVAF)-related acute ischemic stroke (AIS). The study evaluated patients who received rivaroxaban or dabigatran within 15 days from systemic thrombolysis. It informs that hemorrhagic transformation (HT) was classified as either hemorrhagic infarction or parenchymal hematoma.
