- Abstract
Sociology has served as a framework to support, explain and analyze social phenomena. The objective of this essay is to analyze the premises of endogenous development from the postulates and programmatic policies undertaken in Venezuela and framed in the social action systems of the structural functionalist theory, in order to achieve a perspective about the sociological construction of the phenomenon. The methodology used was documentary review with a hermeneutic approach. The conclusions note an incipient process of endogenous development, oriented toward formulas of population de-concentration and territorial reordering, with a prevalence of social economy mechanisms, endorsed legally by the constitutional framework and sustained by values of cooperation, equity, solidarity, inclusion and participation. Likewise, in the sociological framework referring to the economic system, a public prevalence is noted with the absence of the private sector.
