- Title
More on Bentley's "Milton"
- Authors
Hale, John K.
- Abstract
As the author of this essay has been working for other purposes on Thomas Bentley's letter to Zachary Pearce, dated April 20, 1731, a letter held by the Alexander Turnbull Library in Wellington and discussed by Robert E. Bourdette Jr. in the periodical “Milton Quarterly”, he wishes to point out that the letter is evidence of more than 'superior Obstinacy” in Richard Bentley's edition of John Milton's epic poem “Paradise Lost”.
