- Abstract
The article presents a history of the U.S. Medical Cannabis Movement and its importance to pediatricians. It mentions that cannabis' earliest medical recordings note indications for rheumatism, constipation, and gynecological disorders in China. It also mentions about Compassionate Use Act that has made California the first U.S. state to legalize cannabis for medical purposes in 1996, setting off the coming of age of the medical cannabis movement after nearly 60 years of federal prohibition.
