- Abstract
This article discusses the rate and outcomes of emergency Caesarean delivery (CD) in women with placenta accreta spectrum (PAS) and placenta previa without PAS, as well as the diagnostic accuracy of ultrasound in predicting this outcome. The study involved 450 women, with 97 having PAS and 353 having placenta previa without PAS. The results showed that emergency CD occurred in 21% of women with PAS and 31.1% of women with placenta previa without PAS. The study found that ultrasound cannot entirely predict the risk of emergency CD in women with these disorders.
