- Abstract
This article, titled "Improving outcomes in hysteroscopic surgery using intraoperative ultrasound: current evidence," provides a comprehensive review of the application and usefulness of intraoperative ultrasound (IOUS) in hysteroscopic surgery. The authors conducted a literature review and found that IOUS can effectively and safely be used in various hysteroscopic interventions, such as myomectomy, metroplasty, management of Asherman syndrome, and treatment of Caesarean scar pregnancy. IOUS reduces the risk of complications and incomplete procedures in these cases. While not necessary for routine use, IOUS can be a valuable tool in complex cases.
