- Authors
Abernethy, Kathy
- Abstract
The article discusses vulvovaginal and urinary symptoms among post-menopausal women which impact on their quality of life. It also discusses vaginal atrophy, its symptoms, and treatment measures. Vaginal symptoms often appear in a year of blocking hormone replacement therapy (HRT) and non-hormonal treatment options provide symptom relief. It mentions that hormonal treatment is not normally recommended completely for vaginal atrophy and mentions use of local and vaginal oestrogen.
