- Title
Iridium catalyst for splitting water.
- Authors
Canter, Neil
- Abstract
The article focuses on a heterogeneous iridium catalyst that can produce oxygen under acidic condition in the process of water splitting. Topics discussed include prominence of water oxidation as a barrier in producing energy through artificial photosynthesis, ability of the catalyst to bind metal oxides resulting in formation of a heterogeneous catalyst efficient in splitting water and po9ssibilty of using the catalyst as a corrosion inhibitor.
