- Abstract
The article explores cultural representations of torture and human rights violations in the U.S. War on Terror, in relation to the photography exhibit "Inconvenient Evidence: Iraqi Prison Photographs From Abu Ghraib," held in New York City in 2004 and the documentary play "Guantanamo: Honor Bound to Defend Freedom," by Victoria Brittain and Gillian Slovo. The correspondence between the theatre and the documentary spectacles of war are discussed.
