- Abstract
The article discusses the use of the soap bubbles in teaching the properties and changes of properties in matter for grades 5-8 students. Soap bubbles can be used as tool in teaching scientific principles like phases of matter and reflection of light. First, is to have a class discussion on the topic that enables the students to think about the properties of solid and liquid. After the discussion, have some volunteers blow bubbles around the classroom while everyone answers the bubble observation questions. An outline of the bubble and color observation questions are provided. During the discussion, concepts like liquid crystal and iridescence are tackled.
