- Title
Asthma.
- Abstract
The article reviews studies on the effects of several treatment options for asthma. A study by E. R. Bleecker et al claimed that B2-receptor polymorphisms influence the response to long-acting B2-agonists (LABAs). According to S. Kim et al, mepolizumab reduced blood eosinophil count and the corticosteroid requirement in patients with Churg-Strauss syndrome. Another study found that esomeprazole 40 mg has very minor effect on asthma outcomes in patients with moderate-to-severe asthma and symptomatic gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).
