Rücktitelbild: Promoter Activation in hfq Mutants as an Efficient Tool for Specialized Metabolite Production Enabling Direct Bioactivity Testing (Angew. B Die gezielte Aktivierung b von Biosynthesegenclustern in I hfq i -Mutanten verschiedener Proteobakterien vereinfacht die Isolierung und biologische Testung der dadurch exklusiv produzierten Naturstoffe, wie E. Bode et al. in ihrem Forschungsartikel auf S. 19133 zeigen. easyPACId (" I Easy i promoter activated compound identification") aktiviert auch stille Gencluster, die durch die geschlossenen Päckchen am Adventskalender symbolisiert sind, und ermöglicht so die Bestimmung von Struktur und biologischer Aktivität der entsprechenden Naturstoffe direkt aus den Produktionskulturen der Bakterien.
