- Abstract
The NiZnFeO ferrite, BaTiO ferroelectric and NiZnFeO-BaTiO bilayered magnetoelectric thin films have been synthesized onto the quartz substrates at optimized substrate temperatures (400, 250 °C) using the simple spray pyrolysis technique. These films were characterized for their structural, morphological, dielectric and magnetic properties. The XRD studies reveal that the films are polycrystalline in nature with spinel cubic structure. The morphological study shows the formation of agglomerated cubes like grains. The dielectric constant and dielectric loss is measured as a function of frequency in the frequency range 20 Hz-1 MHz. Impedance spectroscopy is used to study the electrical behavior of these thin films. The saturation magnetization of NiZnFeO ferrite and NiZnFeO-BaTiO bilayered thin films are 141 and 111 emu cm, respectively. The value of magnetoelectric voltage obtained for NiZnFeO-BaTiO bilayered thin films is about 221 mV.
