- Abstract
The article reports on the shopping behavior of consumers with lower incomes. The author focuses on research that indicates that customers with lower incomes have a more restricted shopping scope. A related study, conducted in Jerusalem, Israel, suggests that the aforementioned consumers generally have a limited knowledge market conditions. The purchasing behaviors exhibited by lower-income consumers are compared to those of high-income consumers. Additional research related to the decision making processes of consumers is discussed. A model proposed by David L. Huff, that can be used to analyze consumer behavior, is also examined.
