- Abstract
The article presents legal developments in marketing relating to the regulation of monopolistic methods. Regarding market control, the case "United States v. First National Bank of Hawaii and Cooke Trust Co., Ltd.," is discussed, in which First National Bank of Hawaii was given the authority to exercise fiduciary powers but never did so. Regarding collusive practices, the case "United States v. Burlington Industries, Inc. et al." is discussed, in which Burlington Industries was prohibited from exchanging prices, pricing methods, or other conditions of sale with third parties. Regarding market exclusion tactics, the case "Six Twenty-Nine Productions, Inc. v. Rollins Telecasting, Inc. d.b.a. Station WEAR-TV, Channel 3, Pensacola, Florida," is discussed, involving alleged restraint of trade and antitrust violations.
