Vitamins unlikely to revitalize the mind.
- Abstract
The article discusses studies which examined whether vitamins can prevent cognitive decline among older people in the U.S. The Alzheimer's Disease Cooperative Study showed that vitamin B supplements did not slow disease progression in patients with dementia or mild cognitive impairment. The Third National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey did not find a link between vitamin D levels and cognitive function.
