- Authors
Murienne, Jérôme
- Abstract
In this article the author reviews various hypotheses that have been proposed to explain New Caledonian biodiversity and discuss the use of the phylogenetic method to test hypotheses. He discusses several geological papers in the field of biodiversity and biogeography. He adds that phylogenetic methodology and molecular dating provide necessary framework for the study of biodiversity in the region.
