- Abstract
The article reflects on the National Academy of Clinical Biochemistry (NACB) guidelines for laboratory analysis in the diagnosis and management of diabetes mellitus. It recommends measuring glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c) concentration in blood for diagnosis of diabetes mellitus apart from measuring venous plasma glucose. It informs that executive committee of the American Diabetes Association approved the guidelines after which it was accepted.
