- Title
Premature Aging Diseases: Cellular and Molecular Changes.
- Authors
Tollefsbol, Trygve O.; Gracy, Robert W.
- Abstract
Several premature aging diseases have been recognized in the past century. These diseases result in shortened life spans of cells and cause the accumulation of labile, abnormal enzymes in them. The accumulation of abnormal enzymes during normal and premature aging appears to be due to defects in enzyme breakdown rather than synthesis. (Accepted for publication 1 April 1983)
