- Authors
Austin, Robin R.
- Abstract
The article identifies evidence-based interventions that focus on reducing barriers preventing older adults from effectively using ehealth resources. The interventions are categorized by individual, interpersonal, and community or organizational influences. It examines the different levels of intervention for behavior modification and discusses social cognitive theory as the guiding theoretical framework. It asserts that national policy on access to technology directly affects ehealth literacy and the ability to use online health information.
