- Abstract
Objective. To determine the diversity and abundance of mosses in an altitudinal gradient of the Municipal Natural Park "Robledales of Tipacoque". Scope. Inventory of mosses found in three substrates of the Park Methodology. using surveys on three substrates: rock, outcrop root and ground, in lineal transects of 100 m at different altitudes every 200 m, with the data collection of coverage in cm2 and ecological data matrix, the abundance and richness of the present species was evaluated. Main results. 110 surveys were carried out, where 75 species were recorded, distributed in 48 genera and 20 families; 50.6% are pleurocarpic mosses and 49.3% are acrocropic mosses. The families with the largest number of genera and species are Leucobryaceae (2 genera-14 species), followed by Sematophyllaceae (5-10) and Brachytheciaceae (5-6). The genera richest in species are Campylopus with 13 and Sematophyllum with six. The substrate with the highest percentage of species was a rock with 66.6. Conclusions. The floristic composition by altitudinal strips evidences that the sector via to Alto del Gallo (2771 m), presented greater diversity; As for the similarity between the transects, the most correlated were 2771 m and 3030 m with a value of 40%, in general, the mosses flora is well differentiated so that species restricted to a range were found.
