- Title
Narrative reviews from a fraudulent author: reasons to retract.
- Authors
Hartog, Christiane S.; Perner, Anders
- Abstract
The article discusses the issue of retraction of clinical studies from fraudulent authors and the need for retraction of narrative reviews as well. It notes that all reviews cite retracted studies and contain misleading statements supporting the use of a substance that is less effective and clearly harmful in some patient groups. It adds that fraudulent clinical studies generate false evidence that may harm patients.
