- Abstract
Lithuania, with the efforts of the Lithuanian Institute of History and the Lithuanian Institute of Literature and Folklore, carried out a major project--publishing ancient historical sources from Lithuania Minor: Matthäus Prätorius' manuscript Prussia's sights, or Prussia's observatory (the original in German, translated into Lithuanian), the 4th volume was published in 2011; Theodor Lepner's Prussian Lithuanian (the original preserved manuscript and its Lithuanian translation were published); published the 1st volume of Liudvikas Rėza's writings (L. Rėza was the editor of the Lithuanian Bible). Ingė Lukšaitė, who contributed a lot to these activities, highlights the importance of the formation of a cultural memory, which determines both the formation of identity and the state's survival.
