- Abstract
The article offers information on the judicial history, development and significance of the fundamental evidentiary principles in the evidence law under the U.S. Federal Rules of Evidence. It analyzes the difference between federal evidence law and New York evidence law under the analysis of judicial decisions of the U.S. Supreme Court in cases Sprint/United Management Co. v. Mendelsohn, Old Chief v. United States and Beech Aircraft Corp. v. Rainey.
