- Abstract
The article focuses on the research about a specific type of sodium channels as one essential tool in the association of pain insensitivity with loss of function in certain individuals. Details about the sodiumv1.7, as the specific sodium channel expressed in high levels of neurons and its relation to pain were discussed. It also points out that the sodiumv1.7 can be found in DRG neurons as well as in the sympathetic ganglion neurons.
