- Abstract
The article presents a case study on the occurrence of chromosomal abnormalities using the oocytes of a 39 year old woman in Great Britain. The study intends to determine the potential of the maternal chromosome in the development of the down syndrome or trisomy 21 on children. The microsatellite analysis was used in the cytogenetic diagnosis of the trisomy 21.
