- Authors
Downie, Jocelyn; Outram, Simon; Campbell, Fiona
- Abstract
The article discusses the potential health risk and criminal liability of methyplenidate hydrochloride (MPH) used by students in postsecondary education as study-aids and for cognitive enhancement purposes. It says that MPH, which is better known as Ritalin, improves students' concentration while studying. Furthermore, it suggests that physicians should disclose the effect of MPH in prescribing the stimulants to protect students and physicians from the possible harm both physical and legal risk.
